Maritime Guardian introduces Njord – faster response and autonomous rescue.

Our product, Njord, is a modular rescue platform composed of multiple components operating in unison. The fully autonomous rescue system integrates advanced sensing technologies, AI-driven decision-making, and an autonomous robotic platform to detect, locate, and assist individuals in distress without direct human intervention.

Njord provides a comprehensive solution for man-overboard (MOB) scenarios. The technology can be delivered as a complete, turnkey system or configured to meet specific customer requirements. It is designed for dual-use, with significant potential across both civil and military applications, including emergency response, evacuation operations, and remote support missions.

The system operates in three modes:

Mode 1: Fully autonomous operation
Mode 2: Semi-autonomous operation
Mode 3: Fully manual control

Our solution, now patent-pending, automatically sends a distress notification directly to the rescue center within seconds. When a person falls overboard, the system is activated immediately:

  • A distress message is transmitted to the rescue center.

  • The vessel’s forward motion is stopped or reduced.

  • An autonomous floating device is deployed and navigates directly toward the person in the water.

At its core, our solution is built around three essential actions: alert, stop, and save.
