The Problem
Every year, lives are lost at sea not because of negligence, but because rescue response begins too late — or because no one realizes an incident has occurred.
Across fisheries, aquaculture, ports, offshore operations, defense and maritime transport, personnel operate in high-risk environments where:
A fall into cold water becomes critical within minutes
Many vessels operate with minimal crew
Existing safety solutions rely on manual activation
Detection is often delayed or impossible
Time is the decisive factor in maritime survival.
Buiness model & solution
The business model is based on the sale of a scalable and modular security system for the maritime sector, based on the combination of hardware and subscription-based services (push and pull functionality). The technology can be delivered as a complete solution or adapted to the customer's specific needs. The system is designed for dual use, with significant potential in both civil and military applications - including emergency response, evacuation and remote support. The solution operates in three modes:
Modus 1: Full autonomous operation
Modus 2: Semi-autonomous operation
Modus 3: Fully manual control
Our solution, which is now patent-pending, automatically sends a notification directly to the rescue center within seconds. When a person falls overboard, the system is activated immediately:
A distress message is sent to the rescue center.
The vessel´s progess is stopped (depending on selected settings)
An autonomous flotaing device is deployed and navigates directly towards the person.
Our Solution
Maritime Guardian has developed a fully autonomous maritime safety system that:
Detects man-overboard events automatically
Sends an emergency alert to rescue authorities within 5 seconds
Can initiate engine shutdown where required
Deploys an autonomous flotation/rescue unit
Requires no manual activation from the person in distress
The system is built on proven technology, combined in a novel and patent-pending configuration to create a complete, integrated lifesaving package.
Market Opportunity
The maritime safety market spans multiple sectors:
Commercial fisheries
Aquaculture
Port operations
Offshore energy
Defense and coast guard
Search and rescue operations
Thousands of vessels operate in cold and high-risk waters globally. Increasing regulatory focus on safety, combined with insurance and compliance requirements, creates strong market drivers for automated detection systems.
Investment Opportunity
We are currently preparing for our next growth phase and invite dialogue with strategic investors who share our vision: To make autonomous maritime detection the new safety standard — and ensure fewer lives are lost at sea.
